Sangsar
is a house full of stones. The word
Sang-i-sar
means “on-stone”. Originally, it was the name of the nomad in the
northern Iran and their city. Sangsar also is the name of a fish.
Sangsar
is a permanent gallery of environmental art that displays works by Ahmad
Nadalian. Since this location began its activities, many artists and
visitors have come here to view the art works.
We host a
few artists a year at this center and many Iranian artists and other
visitors view the exhibited artworks. Paradise in Hormoz (Persian Gulf) also another permanent gallery of environmental art works.

These
pictures show the garden of Sangsar
Unusual stones are readymade sculptures
and in some occasions were used to convey site-specific ideas.

Since my childhood I collected fossils. Some
hundreds of them can be seen in Sangsar

Small carvings and cylinder seals

Installation of big cylinder seals

 Fragmented
historical tile from Polour
Unfortunately in the village of Polour many of ancient earthenware and
relics are destroyed.
I have
discovered about 500 historical castles.

There are more carved stones inside the
buildings

These are
photos taken from my environmental art projects in different countries,
France, UK, China, Serbia, etc.
